Put On A Feather On It (The Zoe Report)

Lanvin Feather

Just as imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, designers reference iconic looks to ignite current trends. Such is the case with fashion’s present-day feather fixation—no doubt a nod to flapper girl glam. There are so many runway examples of plumes to choose from—I am partial to my prized Valentino peacock coat shown on my website photos—but in terms of accessories, it is all about this Lanvin Feather Headpiece.

In true Alber Elbaz form, the Lanvin mastermind beautifully captured elegant-cool with a black and brown feather on a silver comb that adorned the models in his fall show. Look to him, Anna Sui, and Givenchy and embrace a feather headpiece in your own do’. Don’t be too strategic about placing them—swoosh one over messy hair or tilt it on the forehead for a modish reference to the roaring 20s.The look will bring that je ne sais quoi to any ensemble and allow you to do as a peacock would and make a grand entrance. xoRZ

Availability: Lanvin Feather Headpiece ($700).
